I am an innovation design consultant. Together with my clients, I define socially relevant problems and devise product design solutions that can be mass produced. I help my clients in understanding the opportunities with available technologies, manufacturing techniques while balancing the act with their in-house capabilities. I love to resolve and deliver the unthinkable and in the process unfold some of the mysteries that surround us.
I like to deliver clean, simple and minimally obtrusive designs that are true to their function & believe that a design is successful when it is convenient to operate, is a delight to the eye but also subtly reveals it's details over time.

My primary focus for the last decade had been healthcare, but I have divergent interests. Some of the products I have been doing lately range from skin care devices to home automation systems to even interventions in neonatal health.

In 2008, together with my partners, I co founded Biosense to address the healthcare needs of low resource settings. Our focus was to design and develop appropriate and affordable medical diagnostic solutions. As a creative lead, I looked into the design of the entire system which had both hardware and software product components. Our greatest emphasis was placed on user convenience and adoption while interacting with our offerings. With my core skill of industrial design, I also worked closely with the production and technology teams in simplifying systems, facilitating innovation as well as directing algorithm development.

A large part of my work involved Sketching, Surface Modeling, Part & Assembly Design in Autodesk Alias and design visualization using Photoshop. I was the co-interior designer of a minivan called TATA Venture as seen in the picture above.

Method and system for non invasive haemoglobin measurement

Method of determining hemoglobin by imaging conjunctiva. Ensuring that the image capturing conditions remain constant for all images by use of controlled lighting, as well as color controls to adjust for variations from image to image. The device is being used as a public health anemia screening tool.
Method and system for analysing body fluids

The invention provides a system and method for testing of a body fluid sample using a diagnostic instrument. In an embodiment, the invention is implemented as an application running on a portable device, such as a cell phone, computer, laptop, or other dedicated portable electronic device. The invention has been designed to minimize user contact and manipulations of data in the fluids.
